Planning for next years high hunt... Advice please?
« on: October 23, 2015, 11:07:52 AM »
So next year I want to do the high hunt, it will be my first year doing so. I'm already familiar with backpacking, so the gear aspect of it isn't really much of a concern. I'm actually looking for advice with pre-scouting. My understanding is you're mainly looking for off-trail basins, however, there seems to be hundreds of them when I look on google earth... Are there any other indicators that you guys look for when browsing google earth? What features do you guys see and go "that looks like a great area, I'm gonna go scout that"?

I've got almost a year to plan this, so I'm hoping to make it great.

Thanks!
