Deal: Canon SL1 w/kit lens $300

Almost half off. First of many great deals to come this Christmas season. I could never shoot this camera as its way, way too tiny for my hands. Might be good if you want a DSLR to hang from your key ring  :chuckle:

What constitutes field use to you? Street reportage? Toss it in your Think Tank  :)

This could actually be a really great camera if you're looking to photograph wildlife. Say you have a 100-400mm, really all this camera would be is a sensor at the end of a long lens. You'd probably want a raincoat of some sort as neither that lens nor this camera is weather sealed. If I were starting new however I'd probably consider Nikon  :o

I carry my camera by using my hands. I have  a battery grip attached for more surface area to grab onto, but I find straps get in the way. Carrying a 70-200mm or larger and I'll wrap my hands on the lens and not the body. I attached the neck strap for the first time all year last week only because I was chasing desert bighorns on some scraggy peaks but they still managed to give me the slip.  :bash:
