Late rifle whitetail ???

Been a tough year for me tag soup so far, making a run to the North eastern corner on vets day for a 3-4 day trip to try for a whitetail
staying in Colville
any tips ?
areas ?
help ?

never hunted up there for deer, figured I try little pend orielle wildlife area

 was hoping for a few of the guys who have hunted the NE to give me a general "yea go here..........."

Colville national forest on the edge of the burn areas would be a good spot to start, most of the land owners have family hunting so it's almost worthless to knock on doors, That's just what have come across in years past hunting that area
