New Trigger
« on: December 11, 2015, 10:39:40 AM »
I will be putting a new trigger in my hunting rifle, is worth the extra money for the jewel over the timmney? I do play some long range with this gun but it is ultimately for hunting. the one thing I don't like about the timmney is how wide the trigger is. thanks

I run both. I prefer the jewel over the timney. I like the thinner trigger as well.

Yet with the timney tuned up right, they are still a very good choice over factory. I have had no problems getting mine to right at 2 lbs. I have 2 of the 510 and one 512.

I have 2 jewels and for going under 2 lbs I like them better. Both of them are set at 1.5 lbs.

1.5 is what I was going to set it up at so I'm not sure if that timney being maxed out there would work as well

check out the Timney calvin elite...  Narrower trigger shoe and it also adjusts from 8 oz to 2.5 lbs.

I have never tried the CE model. With you going to 1.5 I think it was a good choice.
