Couple days left !! I am a little excited this morning !
« on: December 14, 2015, 06:15:38 AM »
This hunting season has been great for me this year .. I have had more fun with my wife and son and friends than I ever had by myself ! When I hunt alone I usually am as serious as I can be and need to kill something . This year I just kicked back and enjoyed whatever god put in front of me and without me being the actual hunter ..We seen more Blacktail bucks this year than any other year I can remember .. The weather has been crazy and deer movement has been minimal ! The deer in the last few days have been moving between 1 pm and dark ..but I am thinking today may be a good all day hunt . As I looked out my window last night I could watch the snow level come down . I could also see it was exactly where I need it be . So I am up and ready to roll ... Son got his buck the other day and that day was epic !!  2 bucks seen - one of those bucks got whacked and seen 11 doe ...that there is for sure an epic day of blacktail hunting ...Hopefully when I return it is buck down !  Good luck to all , Be safe !

That's great, congrats on your great season!  I too had a fantastic first bow season with my wife as she experienced her first hunting season.  The success was great, the failure was great even, because we learned a lot... together, and will be better hunters for it next year.  To see the smile on her face as we spotted animals and watched them, sometimes for 20 minutes at a time, was just great.  It really gave her a huge appreciation for why i do it, and it made her really excited for coming years also.
