Archery Shoot in the Yakima Canyon
« on: January 14, 2016, 04:13:26 PM »
Hi guys,

We'll be putting on our first shoot of 2016 on April 9th, here is a link https://www.facebook.com/events/1730342590533703/

We'll keep score but just for fun, but we will likely raffle off a bow with one of the novelty shots.  If you have shot our courses before most of you will be glad to know I am toning it back a bit.  2/3 will be much easier and family friendly but we'll still have a VERY tough course for you hard core shooters.  Should be great fun and we'd love the support.

Thanks guys,

Joe

I also wanted to add that there will be great shots for traditional shooters as well, I'll be hitting the course with a stickbow so you trad guys will get some fun shots from the short stakes as well.

Is there a place for camping nearby? Dry camping it's fine.

Yes, there are two camp grounds right on the canyon road and of course there is Red's fly shop! I'm pretty sure the camp grounds are dry open year round. Hope this helps.

I made it over last year for a shoot couple shots were pretty tricky.  If you can make this shoot I'd go lots of fun.

If you fancy yourself a western bowhunter, you DO NOT want to miss this shoot. Should be green and Purdy up there in April.

I've never been to one of these because I don't fancy the laughter I would expect but it sounds fun.

Don't even sweat it brother!  This isn't your typical target shooter type shoot.  Shoot from where you're comfortable, use your rangefinder, and just have fun

You don't have to shoot both days, just come shoot a round on Sunday.  Its not very crowded at all and you will like the course.

Here is the official shoot flyer.  PLEASE pass it along even if you can't come.  I am just getting started doing shoots and would love to have a few more players.  These shoots have never been even remotely crowded and no backups at targets.
