Looks like the commercials took 2900 lbs out fo the lower cow yesterday and monday. More birds working today...

Can you share your link, all I could find at WDFW was a report of 0....

They are here, and gone, and here. Saturday my buddies got 40 pounds. Then sunday notta.

They are coming, but spuradic in between pushes.

There fishing Camelot area...they will be out again Sat. Getting sturgy bait.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me to.

Drove from longview to naselle today and there were birds working the river and seals the whole way. I bet i saw 50 seals from stella to county line park.

ICEMAN this was a post from one of the guys i steelhead fish with. He also live in longview so he knows his stuff.

"I called WDFW just to let them know and ended up talking to the Olaf Lang the smelt bio and had an interesting chat with him (again).
He already knew the smelt were in as a commercial fisherman called in and left a message they got 2,900 pounds of smelt on Sunday.
The commercial stated they were just up there to test dip but it was so good they had to go back to get more gear"

nicely done. i didnt even think about heading down there. i know i need to get some sturgeon bait. and pickling them up wouldnt be good too.

Yea it was alright I got my limit in about 45 min. Hoping they will be around next week too. i did not get 1 female, all males. Boy sure do miss the 50 to 75 in a dip days. It was fun I am a little sore today :chuckle:
