I like the book very much - I'm new to bear hunting (haven't killed one yet) and to calling so maybe it benefits me more than it might an experienced bear hunter.

Includes some very interesting stories and great insight into bear behavior and what to expect.

I like the cover. :peep:

The man is a good bear Hunter, and it's the price of a couple cups of coffee.

I read it back in December, seemed like lots of great content.  I'm looking forward to trying it out this year.  Hopefully this Spring!

I bought and read it in January.  Author is a quality guy.  I learned a lot from it.  I recommend it for sure!  Good read even if you have hunted for a while.
The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

Written by a member of this site - can you ask for any more? He inspired me to get out and call last year, hopefully I can seal the deal this year!

I didn't start this thread...just in case anyone is wondering, nor do I know the guy who did. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. If you didn't like, I am happy to hear that too...well, not happy, but would like to know it.

As far as what I think about the book, it was fun to write and live. Hunting Washington.com inspired me and I am thankful for all I have in turn, inspired.

Alot of good info in it. Eventually I'll pony up and buy a hard copy to add to my not yet impressive library, for now I get by with the electonic version.
Fact is, I'm gonna re-download it and read it at again this week

I'm not blowing smoke here. This is one of the best general hunting books out there (coming from a beginner that has read more than is good for him). Not just for bear. It is a fantastic blend of knowledge with personal story that provides the credibility and the entertainment to keep reading. I actually recommended it to a non-hunting friend (big outdoor enthusiast) who also just appreciated the knowledge and the stories like the female bear that charged, the bobcat stare down, etc.

I'd pay the price of admission if you ever want to go for a walk in the woods looking for bear and telling more stories to someone who is eager to learn / listen.

I liked it. I downloaded it on my Kindle so I can revisit it when I need too.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!
