I was fishing there when the signs went up on the place, at least 27 years ago. I remember talking to the guy that was posting the signs and I was so ticked off. The fishing for bass was pretty good there, but there are other ponds near Union Gap that are much better. I imagine that if you worked there they wouldn't have any issues with you fishing out there.

I don't think Granite owns the 3 large ponds along the Interstate. Years ago I think someone named Douglas owned them. I see a boat fishing for bass every now and then. I've heard rumors there are some beasts swimming in them.

I used to fish them as a kid! Good memories. Lotsa fish. Bass, mostly and some crappie. Some rainbows from a flood or high water. Also my least favorite snakes!

Actually granite does own the ponds. And they don't allow people to go in there for liability reasons. If your good friends or work there you can. Thank gosh I work there!
