Lure storage

How do you store your lures in the off season? Room temp? Freeze? Old fridge :dunno:
https://www.howlforwildlife.org/take_action  It takes 10 seconds and it’s free. To easy to make an excuse not to make your voice heard!!!!!!

I have never kept after a season  :dunno: but I always make sure I get my fresh orders in September because they get really busy come October ( at F/T supply) and I never want to risk it but the only lure I buy is for Marten

I have never did anything special with it. I made up some beaver lure back around 1980 and it sits in a big peanut butter jar and I take from it when I need some. It just sits on the counter in the fur shed. I used to have an old refrigerator for the more stinky stuff but it was just a place to put it. Never plugged in.

The old fridge is what I was hoping for. Some of these lures are stinky!! Like gusto and mink master.

Want to see a funny look on someone's face?  Take a jar of Gusto or other potent skunky lure and open it in a non-visible way.  Do it upwind of everyone at a backyard barbecue.  Watching faces as they register with the skunk smell is priceless.  After a minute, close the jar.  People will be on guard for hours.

I've always stored lures in a cool dark place.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
