WDFW Bank Angler's Access Guide For Lakes
« on: April 02, 2016, 07:03:41 AM »
Although the WDFW notes boat launch sites for lakes in the WA Fishing Reg's; they do next to nothing to note WDFW Access Sites that provide adequate space for lake bank fishing access. I don't think a Regional Lake Bank Fisherman's Access Guide put out by each WDFW Regional Office would be cost prohibitive or too great an effort. I sent an Email to the WDFW suggesting such an idea...We'll see.

HUNTINCOUPLE, April Fools was yesterday; attempting to bank fish at the majority of WDFW Access Sites (which are merely boat launches) are for the foolhardy or people that enjoy conflict with boat anglers. In reality, the majority of these sites are for boat anglers; all I am asking is for a notation of sites that provide reasonable space for the bank fisherman. By doing some research, I've found several over the years, but I know from experience at two different major outdoor retailers that many boatless fishermen and women would love to have places to take their families and those don't include blocking the boat ramp because no bank space exists at the lake they chose to fish. These places do exist, but they are not plainly noted in the Reg's.
