i noticed there are less bull tags for certain gmu's and more for others. curious as too why that is.

It can change with success rates or for other reasons that affect the population, winterkill, loss of habitat. They also can move numbers around to accommodate different weapons I suppose.

I noticed that this year with my favorite quality bull unit.. Dropped the tags a bit and over 100 more applicants. But I was just in there last year and saw quite a few nice Bulls with a great elk population kind of made me wonder what the heck

They also got rid of some late muzzle and rifle tags on the east side in the bull category
In the bull category east side it looks like you're better off with a rifle tag.
