my biggest thing is I'm not a Remington fan what so ever. the bolts are a boxes of rocks always. the 338 rum and the 375 ruger are not much different is fps but the bullet size is the key. plus a 26" barrel sucks in the thick

Only thing I have done to my 375 Ruger Guide Gun is had my local gunsmith do the following:
Honed bolt rails, trigger shear and adjust trigger to a crisp 2 pound trigger pull. Free float and glass bed action. He relieved a little wood around tang area so stock wouldn't split. Coworker done the same thing to his and we are both happy with them. Short, accurate and fast to get on target. Both are shooting 1/2" groups with 300gr. Nosler Accubond load.
Nothing like a Remington model 700xcr.

Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.
