South Africa, 2016 (part 1 of 2)
« on: June 05, 2016, 12:21:21 PM »
(NOTE: this thread is split in two due to size limitations. This is part 1. Part 2 may be found here: http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php?topic=196480.msg2605842#msg2605842)

My son and I were in South Africa last month for 12 days; ten of them in the Limpopo province and two in the Free State province. All told we saw thousands of animals consisting of 45 different species. My son shot nine animals, and I shot one (a black springbok). South Africa is a charming place for those who love the outdoors and wildlife. Here are a few photos from the trip:

Outstanding!!

Where did you see the Caracal? Is he eating an impala? Great shot of one!  Nice Lion too.

That is a monster Black Wildebeest.  love the funky horn.

The caracal photo was taken in the Free State province. He is eating a springbok.

We chased the black wildebeests half a day to get a shot at that one.

Amazing photos, what a great adventure that looks like it was.  Africa is quickly bubbling up to the top of the list.  Threads like this do not help any I can say that.
