Recently in Rimrock forest area and spoke with FS officer.  We brought our utv's.  He told me we could travel the roads between trails but not to just ride roads in general as they are not allowed.  He claimed a travel plan is almost complete that would solve this issue and allow for everybody to have access including us.  He was very serious, respectful and understanding which I appreciated.  We did as he asked and had a good time on Louie way trail and pickle prairie.

Well that sounds positive as long as there wasn't other options in the plan to do with riding UTV's all together. The greenies seem to have a lot of influence and quite the networking unlike us.

That's the first I've heard of a FS officer directly approving that type of use in the Rimrock area. My experience has been the complete opposite. We'd putt down the edge of the road to the next trailhead, but every time they saw us we were told to get off and push  :dunno:

Ya I thought he was really a straight up guy.  Serious yet real about the crazy stupid rules.  He told us the regs but also said a new plan is almost done which will allow this.  Nice to talk to intelligent real people not some out of school by the book punk with attitude.
