I just came across this post while looking for information on the Teanaway area.  My Father drew a EF any bull tag this year.  He is extremely excited, he is 73 and has never had a large bull, I am hoping that he can fill this tag this year being that he doesn't have many more to go at his age.  He has hunted the Colockum for years and is unfortunately somewhat unfamiliar with this area, he is actually over there scouting today.  Good luck to the other tag holders!
That's awesome bchambers, we're in the same boat about the knowledge of the unit. At least you might get to hear some bugles now. I heard the state gave out 5 tags not 2. Come to think of it, that makes more sense. Anyway, we'll be headed back this weekend to put some more miles on the ground. Hopefully we'll see more animals and less people (non hunting types that is).
Why would they give out 5 tags?  Regs say 2.

That's what I thought too. So far 3 people besides us have spoke up saying they have this tag, so there must be more than 2. It's the state regs, they practically have to put out another pamphlet listing all there mistakes so it doesn't surprise me they screwed up on this too

There's two Teanaway EF quality tags in September (hunt 2021), then there's three Teanaway EF regular bull tags from 10/24 - 11/6 (hunt 2808).  All are any bull.

Someday I hope to draw one of these permits.

Good luck to you - this guy was in GMU 335 2 weeks ago - don't know where he is now.

Aaahhh, okay. Some guy was telling me there were 5 quality permits, thanks for shedding some light on that... that's good to hear because it would be super crowded with 5 of us in that huge unit in the same week  :chuckle: :chuckle:

They drew 5 rut tags. I know of 4 of the tags now and a friend of a friend has EF bull tag.
Tule, the other white meat.

I showed it too him this morning while we were still over there this morning. Yeah, nice fricken' bull! Mixed feelings about looking at something like that. You feel like, so there's some monsters around, but.... where and how do we get to them. We found one hot spot with lots of current action, but we need to add another couple spots to hang on our tool belt. I feel like we're getting a handle on the general areas we need to focus on, but we need to make sure we don't get too scattered on too many areas and waste time. 4flech, we decided not to do the drop camp with pack animals. It would have been fun, but decided it wasn't necessary.
