After lurking for a while I figured I'd register.
Apparently the forum/SMF and Chrome don't get along, so took a few tries.
Anyway, been rifle elk and deer hunting for 10+ years now. Grew up in an anti-gun and non-hunting home, but am making up for lost time. Started out in Arizona when I lived in Tucson. Drew mule deer tags there a couple times and failed to connect. Also drew a couple antlerless elk tag and filled them both. That definitely got me hooked!
Moved to WA in 2007. Took until 2009 to kill my first animal here. Got a late modern fork-horn blacktail in 520 (before WeyCo started charging for access). Then a buddy and I got a 5x5 bull elk in 673 in 2013, and also a 4x4 back in November from the same area.
Super stoked for this fall as I have an antlerless elk tag for 673, plus Thing 1 drew her first special permit for antlerless deer in 218.
