ATN Binox-HD Digital Nightvision Binoculars. 4-16X for sale at Cabelas website for $479. Bluetooths. Takes pictures and video. Cabelas reviews are generally favorable. These sound fun. What's the catch?

Kind of cool. They're not optics in the traditional sense. You're looking at a picture of whatever you're looking at. Magnification over 4x is digital, which means it spreads the pixels out rather than using the glass, like traditional scopes do. Quality will go down the further you turn up the magnification. Their other night vision stuff costs thousands of dollars, so I would expect the quality to be commensurate with the price.
