Going to Lake Roosevelt tomorrow
« on: February 06, 2009, 12:19:10 PM »
A buddy and I are going to try our luck on Lake Roosevelt tomorrow.  We'll be fishing around Ft Spokane.  Any advice on what to use for walleye's and maybe smallmouth?

Fort Spokane is directly in front of the Tribal casino - I can guarantee they will know what a M80 sounds like.  They will probably be able to tell you what reservation it was purchased from.   :chuckle:

Hey if u put in at Ft Spokane jig the bridge pilings first thing, you will whack a 'eye or two, unless someone beat it up before you got there.IMHO next would be head up river and use your electronics to find flats, points, humps, etc. Fish should not be real deep or hard to find, ya who am I kidding?!! Good luck and plz post your results

Yes, please let us know how you did.  I'm thinking of hitting that area in the next few days myself.  Any luck????

We have done well in the past north from the state park along the east bank near split rock, we use jigs in this area for Walleyes.

We got skunked.  Not even a nibble.  Another boat slayed them up by "the house".  No idea where that is.  Just that it's upstream a few miles.  Saw a ton of turkey's, deer, and a couple eagles.  Lots of gobbling going on on the east shore.

Hey Slayer I am pretty sure I know where "the house" is.  Were they fishing up on the Spokane Arm or out on the Columbia?

I'm not quite sure.  My buddy was talking to them.  If you would, send me a PM about the location.  Thanks.
