I recently purchased a used boat. The motor on it seems like it needs a bit of a tune up. It's a 07 Honda 75 hp four stroke ( carbureted ). It has 300 hours on it. The issue I am having is it just seems super cold blooded. You have to give it choke and high rev to get it started, then once it starts keep the revs up for a bit so it doesn't die. even after it seems like it's warmed up (after two or three minutes of idleing) if I put it in gear and try and get it on plane it just sputters out. I need to slowly get it up to speed then after a couple of minutes of that she's all warmed up and ready to rock and roll. Not sure where to start. Figured fuel filter and plugs but it seems wierd that it takes so long to warm up. Reminds me of my old manual choke 65 mustang I had in high school.
