My 2016 bull. OTC, DIY, Archery, public land ID hunt. Just returned from the great trip with some of my best friends. Found this bull among 40 cows and worked him for over any hour but he kept pushing the cows away in an attempt to leave. Finally got him to commit to coming in using a technique by Joel Turner called 'bull calling cows bugle'. Worked like a charm! He finally left the cows, came down the hill to fight, stopped him quartering away at 50 yards and let fly. Never saw what caliber he was till about 10 minutes before I loosed the arrow and was very pleasantly surprised.
Here is my 3pt Whiteriver bull. Spot and stalked this guy. After 10 days of hunting I wasn't holding out any longer.
Killed this Oregon bull on September 8th from a treestand over a wallow. 8-9 yard shot, went 30 yards and fell over.
Nothing yet, but after walking in 2 1/2 miles in the Margaret on a road blocked by a tree found this on our camera an hour before we got there. The time is off. Was shocked to see the trucks riding over and through alders that would be tough on a four wheeler. Hunted until almost dark and heard them coming out. Figured they had an elk to recover and saw an elk rack and elk in back of the pickup. Good to see someone fill a tag.
The first cant get here soon enough
