Elk camp 2016
« on: August 31, 2016, 11:24:06 AM »
Stoked for elk camp! got 5 days off work this year and couldn't be happier. Unfortunately nobody drew any tags out of this year's group, but we are free to roam anywhere we want! Hopefully this year we can put something down, last year was a blast though. Our camp neighbor nailed a cougar, fun times.

Getting super excited here too! I've got a cow tag for the Manashtash so that's where I'll be roaming around.  I've got full-on elk fever!  :whoo:

setting mine early this year with a multi draw in camp (me). Also have a quality buck in same general area post rifle season tag so camp will be set almost 2 months this year!

I'll leave that last sentence alone.  :chuckle:

Can't wait for September 10th. First time I will have the full two weeks of early archery off work.

Got attacked by a cougar once in Arlington.  It was awful.

Sorry, was referring to the OP's neighbor nailing a cougar for "fun times".  :chuckle:

cool.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter
