What is the "Mentions" under my Profile?

This has been popping up lately but then nothing ever shows up under the tab "mentions", then it goes away? What gives? Secret Society typing my call sign?

Huh, when you did that it showed that you had mentioned my sign, all the other times it has notified me (4-5 in the last 2 weeks) there has never been any info with the notice.... spooky.

I'm not exactly sure what you meant, but we are wanting to know if there are glitches. I haven't made this common knowledge since we were sort of testing how it worked before everyone started using it.

I'm not exactly sure what you meant, but we are wanting to know if there are glitches. I haven't made this common knowledge since we were sort of testing how it worked before everyone started using it.

right on.... it would show a [1] next to my profile tab, then when I open the  profile drop down menu, it would show a [1] next to the "mentions" option, when I opened the mentions to look, there was never any mentions noted in the description bar. The [1] would stay by my profile tab for an hour or so then disappear, never showing info on who mentioned me or when. Has happened sporadically in the last 2 weeks... when you replied to me was the first time I could see info on who mentioned me... hope that makes sense.

The number you see is the number of unread mentions in topics, once you read the mention then the number changes. Since I mention you now @cbond3318 you will have a (1) again until you read it.

I just had this same thing happen to me... It showed that I had a mention, but when I go to check, there's nothing listed

Hi @bearpaw ! I got an email that you mentioned me, but this time it did not show a number next to the "Mentions," so I wouldn't have known except that I got the email. Before, it showed I had a mention, but nothing was listed and I can't find anything for the life of me... Maybe someone mentioned me then deleted it? Not a big deal either way... just wanted to point it out in case there's a weird glitch or something

OK thanks, we'll have to keep an eye on it, some of this software has little glitches, sometimes it can be fixed and sometimes it's hard to pin down?.

I have to same issue, says I have a mention, when I dont. Seems to come and go, but I haven't paid that much attention to it.
