I drew a desert a tag today, advice needed please and thank you

I drew the archery desert tag for unit 290, sept 1 thru oct 7.  I don't know anybody whose hunted this unit and any advice on where to start looking would help greatly. Going over in july to take a look, plan on camping at the potholes state campground.  Thanks in advance.

I have seen some panty droppers in that unit but it's always been from the deck of my bass boat.
