not without a tag? But I used to hear that people used to shoot their bear then go get the tag. I think you can still get your tag throughout the season though.
Just because people may have done that and you still can does not make it legal, and that was the question from the OP

I answered his question then added some of what I know or heard. And wasn't saying you can still shoot then go get the tag. Was saying bear tags are on sale throughout the season I think. Meaning he could if he didn't have his tag yet still get one.(tag that is) Don't know but maybe back in the day 50's-60's or so it was legal. No need for the attitude just know what I heard is all.
But no not without a tag he can't at least not now days at least.
He asked if it was legal I was just pointing out that shooting and then buying a tag would not be legal as your suggestion could be misinterpreted
