F150 door lock issue/ trailer wiring
« on: September 20, 2016, 11:18:12 AM »
2012 F-150 crew cab. Right rear passenger door lock gets stuck here and there. Power lock won't unlock it, so I have to yank it up manually. Hard enough to pull that my 12 year old daughter can't do it. Just wondering if it might be a common / quick fix or if it needs to hit the shop.

Also, factory trailer wiring, all of a sudden only running lights work, but no signals, brakes, hazards.

Trailer could be a few things, I'm guessing you've tried checking the connection, being that new they have separate fuses for the trailer (info in owners manual). Trailer been jackknifed recently? Seen a lot where the wires are pulled free in the trailer plug but all looks well

Trailer could be the bulbs maybe? Replace with the 1157 bulb?

For your door locks:

Thanks, I'll check this out. As for the lights, it's definitely not the trailer. Using test light at plug on truck.
