17hmr remington ammo problem
« on: February 10, 2009, 10:46:02 AM »
FYI

Are agency has had 2 close calls with the 17hmr Remington ammo, one ended with a rifle that was blown apart (no injury) and the other was just a stuck bullet. After are investigation we found that the factory ammo had split necks in live ammo and was collecting moister and not firing the bullet just far enough it to the barrel so that another round could be chambered.

You might want to look at you're ammo if you have an remington hmr ammo.

Your "agency"?  What "agency" uses a 17HMR?
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

They are louder then a 270 that is silenced, I don't know why but they are. When the 270 hits its target its a lot louder then the 17 though. :chuckle:
