Reloading for .260 Rem?
« on: September 23, 2016, 10:04:38 PM »
I have a friend in Kalifornia who shoots this and is having a hard time finding lead-free ammunition.  Ordering ammo online is apparently problematic for Kalifornians as well these days.  He does not reload.  If he/I provided materials, is anyone interested in doing some reloading?  He has been shooting 130gr bullets for more info.  I know nothing about this caliber so load info would be helpful as well.

I'm not sure what model rifle he shoots but can find out.

Thanks for looking!

I'm a long ways from either of you so I Dout I could help with the issue other than info. In order to do it safely his rifle will be needed to work up the load. Their are so many possible issues that could arise that just loading a "standard load" is all but useless. Feeding issues, high pressure, too low pressure, ect. Ect.

I can reload some 260 for you/friend to try. We can discuss Friday when my daughter gets to pick up pink puppy.

Would a private party shipping ammo to CA be illegal?  Something to look in too. I'd not want to loose my gun rights to help a friend out. Cannot imagine a friend would want that for you either.
