« on: October 08, 2016, 10:11:41 AM »
I am looking at getting a GoPRO or something to similar to film my hunting adventures.  Any advice on what to get or not to get? Thanks

I use the GoPro Hero 4. I love it due to its simplicity and ease of editing. They provide free editing software and you can easily edit videos. I also use it for underwater video while fishing. I have an old garden hoe that I put the mount on. We call it the GoPro hoe. I also use it for scuba and have had it down to 110 feet and it was still working great. There housing seems to be bullet proof.

I use my GoPro hero 3+ all the time. It really is bullet proof. I got one of those everything type of mounting kits as a gift and I take mine all over.. They're tough on audio, and even if you see an elk or deer at 20yrds, it will look like its a mile away, but like I said i love mine.. I use iMovie for editing on my MacBook Pro and easy easy!

Check out BeHD way cheaper than go pro. They a sweet 4K wifi unit with LCD screen on the back. Quality is excellent!

The new gopro hero 5 looks to be a nice step up from the 4 and is less money.  I have one on the way.  I will let you know how it does.  I started price watching about a month and a half ago, and if you go used, the pricing has been dropping 25-40% in the past week.
