Well I'm another victim of the wetside timber permits. Area I"ve hunted for yrs. is now locked up and by permit only. So I'm looking for advice on a couple of options for eastern wa. next week. If anyone can give advice or help i'd appreciate it. I've never hunted in any of these units. This is our thoughts so far.
Option 1 units 379 and 381 north of tri-cities. 381 has quite a bit of feel free to hunt but little public land, also take antlerless and my buddy who's a meat hunter likes that. 379 ringold looks like it has lots of public land but little harvest. Good option as son is at cbc going to school and playing baseball. Could spend a couple evenings hanging with him.
Option 2 couse gmu 181 again antlerless. Couple of feel free to hunt and the George creek w.a. also some hunt by written permission. Tried calling mngr of the wildlife area but no contact yet. I've never spent any time in the area, would b fun to see some new land and check out the snake and grande river for future fishing opportunities.
Option 3 Stay on wetside hope it doesn't rain try to get some hunting in and do momma's honey do list before the holidays....YUCK.... I think i'd rather hunt.
We are willing to strap on the boots and work for our deer. Just sucks going into an area completely blind. Thanks Kram
