Red Dot - POI vs dot movement - Newbie Question
« on: November 21, 2016, 06:07:46 PM »
Hi all,

I'm not a new shooter but I'm relatively new to how optics work, especially red dots. I was told when zeroing a red dot to adjust the knobs in the direction I want my POI to go. Based on my experience I also know that the knobs will move the dot in the same direction as my adjustment. Maybe my understanding of optics/physics is flawed but if I move my dot in one direction, shouldn't POI move in the opposite direction? Due to parallax...

Probably a very newbie question I know, thanks in advance for any help clarifying this.

With a red dot your moving the dot to where the bullet hits. If you are viewing the move.
But if you look at the dials are are reverse. Now your moving the bullet position to the dot.
IE; if you hit low right you move the dials up and left.
