Whos got the best bird farm in eastern WA
« on: February 13, 2009, 04:34:27 PM »
Have a friend from Montana, with two labs, coming over to hunt with me and my Griffon. Was wondering who's got the best (wildest) bird ranch around hear (Spokane).       thank you.  :hello:

Can't answer your question, but my brothers and I went to Squaw Canyon last saturday. It was our first time at a hunting ranch, so I have nothing to compare it to. We had fun shooting. Not a "wild" hunting experience, but it was a great place for my brothers dog to learn and work, since he's young and has only hunted a few times.
It was nice being able to hunt with my brothers since they live in Idaho and I live in Seattle. The rates didn't seem too bad, not having anything to compare them to. They have a web site. Nice guys running the place. Small operation.
Good luck.

I've gone on a couple of corprate hunts at the "Double Barrel Ranch" and it was a very good experience.

They are just south of Spokane.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Those two are good. Two others: Burlington Ranch up in Chewelah, and of course Miller Ranch near Sprague.

thank guys.  iv been to double barrel in November when i got my wpg back from training. they are a great bunch of people and set up some easy training birds for me to see how the dog was doing. and iv been to miller ranch six years ago with a Friend, that was a good time. now that we have part of a season under our belt, we thought might get one more hunt in just for the fun of it. thanks again.

Check out Asotin County Wingshooters.  I have never hunted their but it used to drive by it all the time in college on the way to the Grande Ronde.  It is beautiful country with good CRP.
