I've got a mountain hardware banshee.  -20 I believe,   took it late October on an elk hunt and stayed plenty warm. I think it may be in the 3 to 3.5 range. Check them out. I think mountain hardware has good stuff.

Any kind of budget? In that temp range you have a ton of options, lots of good bags out there now. A little more info on what you are expecting out of it might help with recommendations. I personally use a Marmot lithium at the moment and love it. Also have a couple Mountain Hardwear Banshees that are fully waterproof for when things get ugly, but they are not easy on the wallet. Also I am a VERY restless sleeper at home, RLS runs in the fam so lots of tossing and turning but for some reason on backpack trips I don't mind the mummy.  :twocents:

I feel like there are a few sleeping bag threads out there right now  :dunno:

I have an Enlightened Equipment 20* that is 18oz
And if I want a zipper a North Face Cats meow 20* at 34oz
I would pair either with a Klymit pad at 3.2 rating that's 18oz
I'll sleep in my clothes if need be and be plenty warm just about anywhere.

I used an EE 10 degree quilt for ten days in Alaska in September on my moose hunt. Hated it. I couldn't get comfortable, froze my butt off, and too drafty. I spent each night waking up several times trying to adjust it to make it work. Back to a mummy bag for me.

I admit I should have done some more testing with it to see if I liked it before taking it to the Alaskan backcountry, but I listened to all the reviews here and Rokslide and thought I would love it. Worst gear "upgrade" mistake I've probably ever made.

Marmot Helium +15 has always been a good choice too. Right at 2lbs, I have one that never gets used that I might consider selling. It only has a handful of nights.
