Basic Turkey Hunting Techniques
« on: January 09, 2017, 10:32:19 AM »
Come by and see us at the Sportsmen's Expo in Puyallup at the end of the month.  We will be putting on 2 basic turkey hunting clinics.  One on Thursday at 7pm in the Green Room http://www.thesportshows.com/shows/washington/seminar-schedule/thursday/ and the other Saturday 6pm http://www.thesportshows.com/shows/washington/seminar-schedule/saturday/.  The clinic will be put on by Ben Thompson, local author of "Beginning Turkey Hunting" http://www.camoturkeyoutdoors.com/product/beginning-turkey-hunting/ and myself.  If you know someone that is interested in Turkey Hunting come by one of the clinics.  Hope to see you there.

Thanks Russ. Not sure I can make those class days, but I just ordered Ben's book.

No worries.  Look on the WDFW site we will be doing some clinics through them too before the spring season starts.  Ben is a wealth of knowledge.  His book is even good to read even if your a veteran to turkey hunting.

Just got my 1960's 1100 deep cleaned and inspected (My grandpa only shot it twice and then kept it in his closet for 40 years, just gave it to me a couple months ago). I guess because of it being an older model it can only fire 3" lead shot, so shooting ducks isn't really a good idea (or even legal in most areas.) Looking forward to use it for Turkey though. I am new to hunting so I will do what I can to attend one of your seminars. Really looking forward to it.
