Which sights?
« on: February 01, 2017, 09:32:52 PM »
I need new sights for my gun, I have a mossberg 535. Been looking at some online and I'm liking some of the truglo ones, anyways I was just wondering what some of the pros on here use for your turkey guns and what has worked well?

For $50, I bought a Sightmark Holographic sight that mounts and adjusts like a scope ... it has 4 reticles and 7 light settings ... you don't have to line up a front and back sight with the turkeys head, just put the dot on his head and neck and pull the trigger ... fast, accurate and deadly.

Like it lots bette than my old Truglow and Firering sights.    :twocents:

It's a turkey with a shotgun.  Don't over think it. A barrel with BB on the end is all you need.

I've always used whatever sights that came on the gun with shotguns, but the ones that came on this gun are cheap and lots of movement, so that's why I'm getting new ones. So not knowing a lot about shotgun sights figured I'd ask.

Same as you do with a regular scope  ... assumes that your shotgun is drilled for it ....

If anyone is interested,   I see that Cabelas has a CenterPoint Tactical Open Reflex Sight that is normally $79.99 for $29.99 ($50 off) that is similar to my Sightmark.  It has a choice of reticles, color and brightness settings (40 options total).

Avoid any sight that glues or adheres to the gun.  Personally I like my ghost ring site for turkey
https://www.howlforwildlife.org/take_action  It takes 10 seconds and it’s free. To easy to make an excuse not to make your voice heard!!!!!!

Lol, right? Come on guys, it's a shotgun. Any sized animal you should be able to hit within range.
