I am planning on buying a new f150 in the next couple months and as looking for some input on the trucks in general and especially the ecoboost 3.5 and 10 speed tranny. Anyone have experience?

I have a 2014 ecoboost. Love it. Don't do much towing, so can't help you out there. Ride is awesome. I updated from a 2002 so quite a bit nicer in fit/finish. Averaging about 16 and change general driving. Pushing 19 sometimes on the Hwy.

Thanks quad. I don't have anything to tow so not overly concerned about towing. Maybe a atv trailer or small utility trailer now and then.

Give me a shout sometime and take it for a spin if you want to check it out. I bought used but in great shape.

Haven't had any 10 speed transmission issues yet and very few ecoboost specific issues to date.
There were some early on issues with the ecoboost back in the first couple years but it seems those were resolved pretty quick. We have replaced both cylinder heads on 2 of them recently for misfires/smoke at startup caused by excessive carbon buildup on the valves. I think both trucks were 2014's.

Good to hear jackalope. I've been searching quite a bit online and haven't been able to come up with much for recurring issues on the newer ones.
Dang 1/2 ton pickups have drastically increased in price since I last looked tho.
