The Best Durn Bowhunting Arrows Thread

Sooo, if a guy (or gal) were to recommend the top three, best arrows available on the market to equip your anti-elk bow, what would you say? I've shot a lot of manufacturer's arrows over the years and quite honestly, have never shelled out the big bones for what folks said were the best. They all eventually tuned up fine with my broad heads and "kilt the bar that kilt me", (sorry, silly J. Johnson reference). In your opinion, based on experience and research, what are the best hunting arrows a bow hunter can consider putting in his quiver, and, why are they say "the best"? This should be fun

Beman ics hunter.  Good bang for buck.  If you can shoot good then great, a 50$ arrow isn't gonna make you Robin Hood!

Carbon Express Maxima hunters.

Though the pile driver hunters intrigue me but haven't used them so can't recommend them.

Pierce platinum by gold tip.  Superior penetration and very very tough!!!

Gold Tip Hunters. All you have to hit is a pie plate to kill. Very affordable for a dozen.

I use Beman ICS hunters and bowhunters, my group only opens up about 1 1/2" with bowhunters. The hunters have better consistency and the price for performance makes them a good value.

I shoot Carbon Express Maxima Hunter 350s.  Decent arrow and killed plenty of elk and deer with them, but I will likely switch to Easton ACCs this year.  Tougher arrow, with all the same specs.

I was really happy with the gold tip kinetic pros, once I ran out of them I switched to the rampage but we've had a couple break now which leads me to beleave they are on the brittle side....I will be going back to a high end gold tip or maybe the fmjs....anything skinny and tough will work for me

Beman ICS Hunters for me. Best bang for the buck. I used the Easton Axis but I wasn't a fan of the HIT inserts.

Easton ACC is all I use, never had one go bad, always crest wrap for ease of refletching, hot glue inserts for ease of tuning broadheads.

Last few years I've been using carbon express mayhem. Have used cx maxima selects, gold tip pro hunter, pse x weave, and some others. Haven't really noticed much difference really. Get one with good straightness and spine tolerance and they should work pretty well.

I was so sad when Easton stopped producing the ACC Pro Hunter.  Cabela's still has em but for a big premium price and not in bare shafts

Been shooting the GT Pro Hunter the last few years and it has proven to be a darn good arrow.  I've skipped them off some stuff that would have chewed up other arrows that I've shot.  The weight system allows me to manipulate where all the weight is in my arrow to give me a higher FOC which is hard to do with a shorter draw length.

In the market for new arrows for my wife and withe the help of RadSav have narrowed my options to Beman ICS or Maximas.

funny you say that as I'm the same way, but I will say I once saw a guy on a far off ridge.  I saw him because I could see something shiny moving across the hillside.  Put the spotter on him and sure enough here is this dude with a quiver full of black arrows and the sun was just shinin like crazy off those black arrows.  I still shoot black arrows

I'll add that Goldtip are so tough compared to Carbon Express is not even close. I stopped using Carbon Express because even with their collars they aren't tough at all. The fact that they need a collar should give that away. 

I've used Easton, Beaman, Carbon Express and Goldtip. I will never switch from XT Hunters again.

That old of technology can't possibly be enough for the elk and deer of today!  haven't you heard they wear armor now and you need 80 lb draw and 67$ carbon arrows to kill anything! 

IMO new aluminum are some of the best arrows for staightness and consistency , but I only get a few shots before I screw them up and bend or dent them.

Ive been shooting gold tip 7595 with a twenty grain weight with good results , But they weren't enough money so I've switched to Vap 250 with a 90 grain stanless  insert .

I've been enjoying my BEA Spartans but for no good reason I'm likely going to try Elements to see how they compare to the Trophy Ridge arrows I used to shoot.
