2017 & 2018 Africa Hunts
« on: March 02, 2017, 05:56:34 AM »
Our 2017 calendar is filling up fast, but we've still got a couple of openings this year for any hunters who have been dreaming of booking an African hunt. Contact me for the exact dates, but we currently have openings in May, early June, late August, early September, and early October 2017. Availability in 2018 is similar, just with a few more openings compared to 2017.

So, why should you book a hunt with us? Here are the biggest areas where we're different from most of the other outfits over there: we only book one hunting party at a time and we limit the number of hunts we book and carefully manage our hunting areas for exceptional trophy quality. Instead of sharing the area with multiple other groups, you'll have the whole place to yourself. This makes for a safer trip, gives you better opportunities to shoot bigger animals, and makes for an overall higher quality hunt. This also allows us to give you lots of personal attention before, during, and after your trip. Additionally, we book a limited number of hunts each year, abide by strict quotas, and carefully manage out hunting areas, so the trophy quality on our hunts is truly second to none (over 90% of the animals hunters take with us make the record book).

A plains game hunting safari with a good quality African outfitter is one of the best value hunts available anywhere in the world. You’ll see more animals, make more stalks, and shoot more game during a week of hunting with us than most hunters do over the course of several years of hunting in the USA, all for about the same price you’d pay for a guided elk hunt.

No hidden fees: Our prices include everything except for your air fare, taxidermy/dip & pack, and shipment of your trophies back to the USA. We’ll pick you up and drop you off at Johannesburg International Airport (JNB) at the beginning and end of the hunt and drive you to and from the hunting area. Packages also include all food, beverages (including alcohol) lodging, transportation in and around the hunting area, services of a licensed and experienced professional hunter, exclusive use of the hunting area, daily laundry service, and skinning and field prep of your trophy. If you want to bring your own rifle from the USA, we’ll also help you through the process with getting temporary firearms import permits and assist you in clearing Customs with your rifle upon arrival in South Africa for free. This is a service other places typically charge $200-300 extra per hunter for.

We can also build custom hunting packages at our normal South Africa hunting rates if you don't see quite what you're looking for below.
Visit our South Africa hunting packages web page for more details on our packages.

All of these packages include the trophy fees for listed animals. The 1x1 price is what you'd pay to go on this hunt by yourself with 1 guide. The 2x1 price is what you'd pay per hunter if you and a friend or family member booked this hunt together with 1 guide. The observer price is what it costs for a non-hunter to accompany you on the trip.

Your hunt will begin with pick up at Johannesburg International Airport then you will be driven to camp. All hunters stay in comfortable individual chalets with 220v electricity and furnished with a bed, sink, toilet, & shower. All meals are prepared on site by our professionally trained cook and consist of a combination of local cuisine and wild game. Meals feature lots of meat, vegetables, and fruit. After a hard day of hunting, you’ll get to relax with a sundowner and snacks around the fire pit before dinner.

All of these packages are in US dollars and can be upgraded with additional hunting days ($400 per day per hunter) and additional animals at the normal South Africa trophy fees.
