Newbie from idaho

Just joined up and figured I would introduce myself, I live in post falls idaho and am a deer fanatic.  I've been lurking the forum for a while and figured I would join up considering it seems like a pretty good community. I've hunted the idaho side from just south of Lewiston all the way up to the northern border.  I'm very free with information on the controlled hunts I've done and pretty tight lipped with my otc spots like most people.

Honestly I'd love to but it's expensive, over here I can buy 2 deer tags, an elk tag, Turkey tag, couple wolf tags, bear tag and a fishing license for cheaper than a liscense and deer tag over there. I would love to hunt northeast as for deer someday though!  I love hunting new ground.

I hunt probably the most heavily hunted units in North idaho and with a little atv  time and a little boot time I virtually never see a soul on the mountain, maybe atv or gunshot in the distance.  I'm actually pretty unfamiliar with the draw system in washington, is it even worth building bonus points? I know in most states point creep is so bad they say if you start putting in now you still may never draw premium tags in places like Utah or arizona. I've also found the WA regs very hard to decipher as far as unit bounderies, partly because I'm not familiar with the area im sure.

I don't think it's worth building points.

In 4 years I've bought double tags I've only filled both in 1 year, 2015. 178 Muley and a whitetail that was in the low 130s.  But when I fill a tag I still get to hit the mountain for the rest of the season, which lets be honest is the best part.

It's only 154 for the license and 300 for your first tag then 200 for your second....  it's a lot cheaper than buying access permits to hunt private land in Washington.  Still some public but good luck with the crowds.  Even the tree farm permits are packed with guys all chasing the same thing.  General season Idaho is way better than most quality permits wa offers.  This state hunting rega are set up for the wolf lover and shellfish fanatic.

Well if you guys ever want to put around my neck of the woods on the weekend I'd be happy to go with you.  I am intimately familiar with 11, 11a, 3, 4, 2, 6 and 1. I have spent time in almost every unit North of 11 but don't know the others quite as well.  I would love to go scout for moose with someone that drew a tag.
