i went and priced everything when i chose my elg license/ tag didnt make me chooswe east or west did i miss something ?

If you didn't pay yet, when you're checking out, they have a "survey", where you choose weapon and/or side for each species that needs a choice.

Happened to me at wally world. The employees were clueless, so I just called Olympia a couple days later, and they corrected it.
