You have potential for a 160-180 buck there.

So like a general Montana tag?   :chuckle:

Looks like they increased the tags in 70 and NR could draw with 3.

Nice, hopefully it's a good hunt and I can go every few years.

It's a fun hunt.  Lots of deer.  Half of Texas is there.   :chuckle:

4 of us drew Unit 30. 3rd Season. Last time I was there about 10 years ago ( dad had a tag) all the deer were low. Hopefully they'll do it again. When I checked for my dads deer tag I checked his elk points he has 24 points. I think he may try next year or 2019 to draw an elk tag.

I bet that hunt was epic in 2007!

It was I got to go but not for the reason I wanted to go. Grandpa had a stroke that summer so mom told dad to go and take me. All the deer were down low. Passed up a nice forkie the evening we got there. Saw about 15 bucks and got a nice 3x3.

Looks like a bull elk and/or buck kind of hunting week.   Same unit, same dates.

What unit Miles and how many points? Should be a good time being able to chase both bulls and bucks at the same time. The anxiety of chasing both at the same time would drive me crazy. :chuckle:

Unit 7/8.   It was an easy to draw unit.   It's my first year here and with zero points my options were limited.   I've spent 4 days up there scouting so far and I think I should be able to make something happen...
