Cabelas in Post Falls has a lifesize mount of a coyote that is pretty cool.  It is standing has its head down low, kinda of snarling, it hackles are all standing up.  I guess you could call it a defensive posture. :dunno:
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

509er, that'd be a cool mount! That's actually a dominant posture. Territorial. Head down, tail down, stiff legged, and hackles up. "Get yer butt off my property!" I've seen it on a few videos, but never in person.

It is a cool mount!  When I get back over there I will take a pic for sure.  I never thought about mounting a coyote, but after seeing that one I would consider it.

one day im going to get a mount of a coyote and a bobcat facing off over a dead rabbit or something. i always thought that would be cool to do and to give the taxi some artistic freedom on it

I saw a cool one I liked at Rogers Taxadermy.

It was a Yote jumping up and pawing at a quail on a branch of a tree. The Quaill was flying off the branch as the paw swept it.
And he looked hungry
