Ten-Forty
« on: June 14, 2016, 11:15:57 AM »
I drew the Ten-Forty early archery tag on the 4-0 ranch, season is Sept 1-14. Cant wait to get over there this summer and scout it out! Should be a fun hunt, excited to learn a new area.

I'm right there with you.  I drew the late season MF tag on the ranch.  I'm planning on heading over there in August to do some extensive scouting.  I'd be happy to exchange intel and let you know what I find if you are interested.

The 4-0 is heaven, I've heard you should talk to the guys who work there, they know the elk habits really well.

Congrats on the draws guys! I hate to be a bearer of any bad news but I believe the 4-0 ranch was an area that had an emergency closure to any public access last winter due to the severe conditions. It would probably be worthwhile to contact the bio for the area to inquire about the effects early on.  :twocents:
