Blue Mountain Rifle Rut tag
« on: June 18, 2017, 10:58:32 AM »
I was drawn for this tag.  I have never even driven by this unit.  I don't get out of my truck much.  I am looking for your spot.  If you can provide me GPS coordinates of only the 400 inch plus bulls in the area.  I am not interested in any 399 inch or less bulls.

Oh, I only have a bow.  So I might need to borrow someone's rifle.

Thanks for your help.

Perfect! I'll give you my rifle and I'll even give you all the ammo you need, 2 rounds. I will email you GPS coordinates after we meet, face to face and trade the gun  :tup:

I've got a particular canyon in mind that would be just perfect for you. :IBCOOL:

Drive south through the blues of Washington until you get to the oregon state line. This is where the true blues start. Once over the state line just start hunting as you continue south. This is where all the big elk are. And i have been told that since you have a blues tag it is good in oregon since the mountain range crosses state lines. So dont be worried if you dont have an oregon tag

If you are on the East side of the state, you can use this lookout.

Give Twisted Horn outfitters a call. Great guys. Honest as the day is long! They'll put you on a trophy rosy in the blues for sure! Get a deer tag while you're at it. Some trophy coastal blacktails hang out on them ridge tops.

@Thehunt,
With all this moisture I would bump that up to 430ish. I will take you out on this hunt. But only if you let me buy the gas and pack it to the truck for you :chuckle:
PS we should only need a few hours

I am actually shocked there isn't any legit threads about this yet.  Never mind, I just looked through the deer thread there is at least one.
