Wyoming draw results
« on: June 21, 2017, 12:01:49 PM »
Results are out tomorrow.  Good luck to those who put in!  I'll be logging in at 10:00 and hoping to see a deer permit for this year.  Especially considering I had to eat my tag last year on account of a Maine moose tag and CA X-zone tag that all fell on the same dates.

I think it is 10:00am Mountain Time, so the results should be up by 9:00am PST.

Yes, you are correct.   I'm in mountain time, that's why I said 10:00.  ;)

In for Region R general, which we definitely should draw w/ 2 points, and my group took the shotgun approach and all applied for different Antelope tags that we probably won't draw.  I love thinking about what would happen in Wyoming if I actually drew all the doe and cow tags I put in for...would need a bigger truck to get everything home.

If anyone else is drawn for R this year and is interested in sharing notes, shoot me a pm.

Can't wait for October!!!

This brings up a question.  I read that the backdoor isn't working due to a change in the refund process.  I like not seeing my name on that list, but I do not know if its accurate anymore.

Has anyone seen their name for a refund?

Drew Region R deer and 78 Antelope in the random draw!  78 Antelope is the first tag we've ever drawn with less than 50/50 odds.  No longer cursed by the point gods.

Already put in for rifle stuff. Was really banking on that tag. Oh well. Nothing guaranteed. Maybe some WA bear hunting.

Thanks Bigshooter. Yep I got the early season. I'm still in shock. The 2 out of state hunts I should have drawn didn't work out but I was surprised with 2 out of state hunts that were long shots & drew. Go figure. Good luck in your draws. There's still ID & AZ Coues Deer for me pending.

Central Idaho, 16A, 17, 19, 20, 20A, 26, 27.  general license any weapon, 9/15-10/31 or 11/18 depending on unit.  Big country, right dates.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I was really counting on the WY tag as well.... The # of applicants increased a crazy amount and odds dropped accordingly.

I guess I'll have to focus on the Colorado elk and deer tag even more now.
