new shotgun arrived yesterday
« on: June 23, 2017, 07:38:33 AM »
My new gun arrived yesterday and was toted off quickly to the skeet range.  I didn't read the spec's closely and thought my stash of Invector Plus chokes would work in the new 725.  Turned out it takes the Invector DS chokes and won't swap over.    I will say that shooting station 8 clay pigeons with a modified choke is very spectacular.  It was nothing but dust.  New gun is a 725 Field.

Posting about new guns with no gun porn photos attached is grounds for a permanent ban with reciprocation to all gun and hunting sites. You'd better figure that stuff out in a few minutes!

Congrats on the new gun.

I was invited to a sporting clays shoot for work this past February.  Since getting a pointer several years ago, I stashed my 12 gauge SKB in the back of the safe after a thorough cleaning, in favor of a 20 guage,  and it hasn't seen the light.  I dragged it out for the shoot and thought I was rusty as most of the longer shots were just breaking off a couple of pieces of the clay.  It wasn't rust, I was shooting it without chokes.  I had pulled them when I did my cleaning.  I did much better the following weekend.   :bash:

You just beat the ban by seconds. Beautiful piece, man.

I've never been much of a Browning rifle fan but I've always liked their Citori line.  Very nice and congrats on the new purchase.
