Grizzly Bear introduction on hold?
« on: June 23, 2017, 07:41:47 AM »
I wonder with funding being cut for the ESA etc. will the USFWS be forced to curtail their fraudulent plans for WA?

Endangered species budget cuts could impact jobs

Trump’s budget appears to eliminate funding for Landscape Conservation Cooperatives, which create links between agencies, landowners and organizations for large-scale projects like sage grouse recovery and grizzly bear delisting. Read More @

Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.

Yellowstone Grizzlies are off the Endangered Species List.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/22/science/yellowstone-grizzly-bear-endangered-species-list.html

That's great news for the Yellowstone, as the wolves have cleaned out much of the game bears thrive on in early spring, fawns, calves etc..

On the other hand:

"The action will not affect the protected status of the other major population of grizzlies in the lower 48 states, those that live in and around Glacier National Park of Montana, which number about 1,000. However, experts say this population, too, could soon be delisted. Several small, isolated populations would remain protected."

Lawsuits have already been filed. It'll be up to the courts now.

Every thing has it's place in the natural world, i say go faster with the introduction of Wolves and Grizzlies, Restock them in the San Juans, Fox Island, Whidby Island, Bainbridge Island, the wooded areas and green b elts around Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia.

It's these tree huggers that want them, let them see first hand what predators of this size can and will do.
