Finished #1
« on: February 28, 2009, 11:50:50 AM »
I've been on and off this project for some time, but 10 minute stints of time add up.  I'm finally done.  Thanks to Bob R, Gramps, BigDave and gkowen for your help and guidance along the way.  And thanks to my friends and family who have supported me along the way... :chuckle:... Jeez, you'd think I won an Oscar!

Works like a charm right out of the shoot.  Obviously the camo part is most fun.  I like the Bondoglass over Liquid Nails because it cures so fast.

Will start #2 shortly...

Nice job! How much does it cost to build a homemade trailcam versus buying one off the shelf at sportsmans warehouse or cabelas?

I ended up spending right at $140, but each additional camera I build will bring that down a bit as some of the supplies I had to buy will make several camera.  I am starting camera build #2.

Great looking camera, really a nice job on the camo as well.

Thanks guys.  Yeah, about $140 is where I landed as well, but the next one should be around $110-120.
