Thanks guys.   I'll let you know if I go and shoot the darn thing, or if my kids clean up on the field. LOL   Right now I am stuck at work with a nice hospital spot inspection.   Not what I had planned.  Then its basketball practice until 8 tonihgt,  OK, now I am whining. :chuckle:

I am so retarded, this post kept poping up near the top of the posts so i opened it and started at the beginning, thinking "hey Bone got a nice buck again" took me 2 days of reading at work before i noticed that it was a very old topic/post..... :P, that got started up again.....
Nice buck from a few years back Bone...
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Ain't that the truth. Not everyone's family and lifestyle is the same.  Hunting is not necessarily done to escape kids and family.

As the Cosmo Thread Turns!

As much as I love to get into the hills with and without the boys, My competitive shooting gets in the way of that and other family time. -Although I've taken most of the summer off from the circuit. (I know there are other rifle and archery competitors on this forum.) It's a tough balance! Sometimes someone gets left out.

I think he stated you are supposed to take them with you, so that is no excuse.  Strap that little bugger on your back, hike 9 miles in, a couple thousand feet and bust one.   I'll help you pack the animal out as you'll have your hands full withthe kid.  Might rain today, so make sure we're all bundled properly.  I have to go online...do they have mountain house Gerber? :)

We teach the kids that if they start something that they need to finish/see it through. That goes for team commitments for the most part. Which means they don't get to go to the hills when there's a game or practice.

'Mountainhouse Gerber'???  Now that's funny!

I say, Don't feed the little bugger.. CRY kid! Cry all you want.  :'( That'd be the best varmint/bear call ever. No batteries required.

Would that be considered baiting?  :dunno:

If you find some, let me know.  Tinypathfinder is already lobbying for me to take him deer hunting with me...  I have a second deer tag this year, I think he may have to watch a whitetail doe take a dirt nap this NOV...

Good assessment Jack.  I am of the same opinion regarding team commitments.
