You are receiving this email because you have registered as a deer hunter or expressed interest in the deer hunt at Island Center Forest. This year’s hunt takes place during the general modern firearm season, October 14 to 31.
We are implementing some changes to the limited deer hunt based on public input and comments following a 5-year pilot project. Most importantly we are highlighting “no hunt” buffers around all residences along the Island Center Forest boundary. We received multiple comments from neighbors, particularly along the north boundary, that in past years hunters have wandered on to their private property. Here is the recent press release.
Here are some basic guidelines for the limited deer hunt at Island Center Forest.
All Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife rules and regulations apply for the general modern firearm season.
No rifles allowed. No tree stands or blinds.

Mon. Oct. 16 - Sun. Oct. 22 7:05 - 6:45
Mon. Oct. 23 - Sun. Oct. 29 7:10 - 6:35
Mon. Oct. 30 - Sat. Nov. 4 7:25 - 6:20
Hunting is allowed in the designated area only.
Please do not enter adjacent private lands without permission.
No hunting or discharge of firearms in any of the yellow highlight areas on the attached map.

Ø The field next to the Cemetery trailhead on 115th
Ø The borrow pit north of the Transfer Station
Ø Natural Area
Please register at the trailheads. See map for registration locations.
Please report a deer harvest. You can send me an email or use our “see click fix” app by texting king deerhunt to 468311.

Please know where you are at all times. The 115th Bypass and 188th trails are the boundary between the hunting area and the non-hunting Natural Area. The deer hunt area is closed to all other public uses. Trails in the natural area are open for public use.
